Daly River lovin

We camped at Lee and Jenny’s Bush camp which is perched on the Daly River. It’s run by such a lovely couple. They go to lots of effort to make there guests feel welcome. We were greeted with a handshake and lollies for Lowana. We spent 4 nights here, it was honestly like being at an early retirement village. They bring you firewood each day and empty the coals and ash from your fire pit! What more could you ask for!?? Daly River is famous for its fishing but you could spend ages here and forget to go fishing. They have dinner nights which Jenny makes by herself with a really homely touch. Steak, salad, chips and dinner rolls with apple crumble for desert. All for $26. Live entertainment even had Lowana up for a boogie. They put a movie on every Saturday & Sunday night on the grassed area for all. It really is an amazing camp with heaps of room. We did try to squeeze in some fishing however we only got 1 Barra which was undersized. But that still counts yeah?

Lowana improved significantly on her bike. It’s so great watching her grow and shape into a little independent human being. She’s learning so much whilst travelling we couldn’t be more proud. It’s not always smooth sailing, we still have the big tantrum or two. But at the end of the day she’s a kid just learning like the rest of us.
